Virtual greetings and SnB’s
A number of us have geek tendencies that come in quite handy on the occasion. For example, a few of us carry iPod touches and iPhones that are internet ready and allow them to post to Twitter and FaceBook at Random. This indeed is an interesting concept that we knitters put to good use.
Recently we held a virtual SnB. Laptops and other geek paraphernalia were at the ready and we posted to Twitter (which posts automatically to Facebook) random thoughts and interesting bits and allowed our out of towners to join in the fun.
Our conversation ranged from cats with issues, to debating the benefits of having an Alpaca for pet (free grass cutting and maneure at the ready) to, of course, stitching.
We’ve a few FO’s to show off:
First up is February Lady Sweater and Summer’s worn and created by Melissa H. and Bonnie Z. The buttons on Summer’s End are courtesy of Melissa H. What a doll she is 🙂
Jan modelled her version of a Lily Chin creation. She picked up the kit at the Saskatchewan Stitching Conference this past June. She is a beauty in red, isn’t she? This jacket can be worn as a long or short version. The versatility is ingenious.
Lots of garters & giggles were had and we hope that we were able to convey some of our fun to all our fans!
And now for more stitching:
I’m working on Rosalind. About 1/2 way through. Here is a sneak peak:
Enjoy the gallery. Don’t you wish you could join us? I bet you do. We love having new friends and stitchers join us at their leisure.
I look forward to meeting you, virtual or otherwise.
