The weather here is uncooperative, which makes it wonderful for avoiding the elements and stitching up beauties. Decimal is coming along.
I fell in love with this pattern the first time viewed the pages of Knitty (Spring 2009). The body is knit in one piece and grows quickly.
In need of a severe blocking, the body is complete. It is held on a spare cable until the sleeves are done. The yoke is then worked, after the joining of sleeves, and the effect is a raglan style garment.
The sleeves are bell shaped. As I finished the first of the pair, I thought that I might, for future versions, reduce the amount of the bell. However, for this version, I will enjoy the flow and movement of the sleeves.
Blocking, it would seem, will become an important part of this garment.
So that is where Decimal sits…
Any bets on whether she will be finished before the Yarn Harlot makes her visit to Saskatchewan?
